Reintaler See circular hiking trail
Pleasant hiking trail with beautiful lake views.
The Reintaler See with its turquoise-green water is one of the three lakes around Kramsach in the Alpbachtal holiday region. A family-friendly circular hiking trail leads around the lake, which always offers breathtaking views of the lake.
A day in nature, no matter what time of year. You have two options for the hike: either barrier-free on just one side of the lake or the complete circular hike, which in some places is not accessible with a wheelchair, but can be accessed with a stroller. Most of the paths lead over paths, wooden footbridges, small sections of the bank and shoulder areas.
Length | 6.52 km |
Duration | 1:45 h |

The barrier-free hiking trail along Lake Reintalersee was implemented as a LEADER project. LEADER is a funding program and a community initiative of the European Union, co-financed by the EU, federal and state governments. LEADER promotes innovative strategies that support and promote rural areas in their development.
Route
The path starts on the west side of Lake Reintal and initially leads in flat, wide loops down to the lake. There is already a first rest bench here that invites you to linger. Leave the barbecue area and the MU-Strand lawn on the right and follow the path east to the Fischerstube restaurant. The beautifully laid out path continues over wooden footbridges to Kohlerwiese. Here in summer you have the opportunity to use a newly built ramp to drive your wheelchair directly into the water and swim from the end of the jetty. You briefly move away from the lake and reach the Haflingerhof in a few minutes. From here we continue through the campsite. At the Antonius Chapel the path leads back to the lakeshore.
Now you reach the well-signposted path on the south bank of Lake Reintal, which leads to a peak. The view of the lake from here is of course indescribably beautiful! In a comfortable hour you can reach the southern tip of the Reintalersee from the West parking lot. The path takes the same route back to the starting point. Of course you can start the circular hiking trail at any point on the lake.
Playgrounds
Already on the west bank you will find the first great playground at Reintaler See. There is a flying fox, slide, swings, trampolines, balancing walkways and a climbing frame. A barrier-free play area has been set up a few meters further towards the lake. At the Haflingerhof there are two playgrounds to discover and others are in the immediate vicinity of the campsite.
Connect culture and nature
The largest open-air museum in Tyrol is located just a few meters from Lake Reintal. A trip to the Tyrolean Farms Museum in Kramsach is highly recommended. The Rohreralm inn right at the entrance to the museum offers excellent traditional Tyrolean
The museum cemetery is also located in Kramsach. A well-known and very popular excursion destination beyond the borders. The “Funny Cemetery” with its bizarre grave inscriptions and the museum shop round off a day in Kramsach perfectly.
Parking
There are three paid parking spaces around the lake. One on the west bank, one near the Kohlerwiese and one on the east bank.
